She is the first non-hearing woman to be accepted and graduate from the Royal Academy of Music. Her connection to music is so sacral that to date she owns a unique collection of 3,800 musical instruments from around the world. She has released more than 22 albums, has been nominated for four Grammy Awards and has won two of them. She is a holder of the Order of the British Empire and the title of Dame.
